DESCRIPTION: Beacon Landing is a visionary transit-oriented development (TOD) at Metro-North Railroad’s Beacon Station, designed to create a vibrant, inclusive community that honors Beacon’s artistic heritage and deep connection to nature. The project will deliver 264 thoughtfully designed homes, including 26 affordable apartments for households earning up to 70% area median income (AMI) and 14 live-work spaces for artists and craftspeople.
Beacon Landing will serve a diverse mix of residents – artists, young families, empty nesters and seniors – while enriching the community with 3,000 square feet of community-focused retail, engaging amenity spaces such as a shared creative studio and gallery, and expansive open space for recreation and connection.
The development prioritizes walkability, featuring pedestrian-friendly streetscapes that seamlessly connect residents to the broader community and regional transit. Sustainability is at the heart of the design, with features like Passive House construction, green roofs, and native landscaping that reduce Beacon Landing’s environmental impact while promoting health and well-being.
Beacon Landing is expertly crafted to complement Beacon’s rich cultural and natural assets, celebrating the qualities that make Beacon a unique and special place to live, work, and thrive. The redevelopment complements the City of Beacon’s efforts to foster greater connectivity between the waterfront, Beacon Station, and Main Street.
