David is a collaborator. His experience spans over 20 years coordinating large project teams and delivering complex innovative projects. Driven by supportive office culture and strong team spirit, he brings to any architectural challenge, enthusiasm, leadership, and a deep understanding of how buildings go together.
His work over the last decade has centered around improving the urban realm and embracing community. He has been dedicated to improving the built environ-ment though a steadfast commitment to our shared community and our natural environment.
David’s projects express a strong sense of architectur-al and structural legibility that celebrate engineering, building material, and architectural finish. Working at all scales and phases, his design sensibility is deliberate, thought provoking and creative.
Recent projects as founder of David Burke Architects include the Vassar College Thompson Library Visioning Study and the historic Ritz Theater renovation in Newburgh, NY.
Prior to founding DBA, David managed and delivered several highly complex projects as Principal at Grimshaw Architects.
